Texture matters more than colour

Neutral rooms often fail when everything is smooth.

Texture is what stops calm interiors from feeling flat. A loosely woven throw against a tightly upholstered sofa. Linen next to wool. Matte surfaces alongside something softly reflective.

Colour sets the tone, but texture gives a room depth. It’s why we choose textiles slowly, and why we prefer fewer options that work together rather than many that compete.
